Japan twice came from behind to share the honours in a thrilling clash. After the first half ended 0-0, Van Dijk broke the deadlock with a headed goal five minutes after the break but Nakamura equalised seven minutes later. The Dutch took the lead again (64') and the match looked like it would end with victory for the men in orange but Japan persisted to the end and got their reward when Kamada scored in the 89th minute with a fine header.

Sweden swept their opponents aside to top the group. Yasin Ayari opened the scoring in the 7th minute but he declined to celebrate, his father having been born in Tunisia. Isak extended Sweden's lead on the half hour but just before half-time Rekik put Tunisia back in the game. Gyokeres and Svanberg scored for Sweden in the second half to give them an emphatic win.

Two first half goals from Brian Brobbey set the Dutch on course for the win. Sweden piled on the pressure and thought they had pulled one back but it was disallowed for offside. Two more goals from Cody Gakpo shortly after half-time put the game beyond Sweden's grasp and while they did pull one back through Elanga, Summerville finished things off in the 89th minute.

With four minutes played, Keito Nakamura danced his way into the box and sent the ball square across the face of the goal where Daichi Kamada was on hand to poke it home. Ayase Ueda doubled the lead on the half hour when he was given space to lash the ball into the net from the edge of the area. Ueda and Ito added two more in the second half to put them on top of the group alongside the Netherlands and eliminate Tunisia.

After a goal-less first half Daizen Maeda put Japan ahead ten minutes after the break. Sweden fought back and equalised with a goal from Anthony Elanga from the edge of the area. The draw was enough to see both teams progress, Japan finishing second and Sweden securing a best third place slot.

In the second minute of the match Tunisia captain Ellyes Skhiri turned a Denzel Dumfries cross into his own net. Brian Brobbey doubled the lead in the seventh minute with a simple tap in. A defensive error allowed Hazem Mastouri to score from a corner (54') but six minutes later Jan Paul van Hecke scored from a deflected header. Tunisia finished bottom of the group after three defeats.
